Annual Ride & Stride 2010

Happy New Year to all our supporters !
No sooner has the 2009 event finished, than we are getting organised for 2010.
Pleased to say that, despite the recession, our gross receipts in 2009 were only just under the 2008 record, so let's see if we can get past the £30k mark in 2010!
The 2009 'league table' was: -
First: St Martin's, Ashton-on-Mersey
Second: St Mary's, Bowdon
Third: All Saint's, Daresbury
Well done to all those that made a tremendous effort to support their churches and the Trust!
We'll be writing to all PCC Secretaries and those from other denominations shortly to invite them to participate in this year's event which is on Saturday, 11 September. Feedback from last year indicates that some churches were unable to enter because the date clashed with another event.
If this is the case then why not move the Annual Ride & Stride to the Sunday or another Saturday? Lots of you like the camaraderie of the event so I don't see this as being a problem, other than that some churches may not be open to welcome you.
Feedback also indicated that the 10am - 4pm schedule meant that some teams curtailed their routes to meet the timescale. Don't let this be a problem. It's not a hard and fast rule only a guideline so please feel free to extend this to your needs.
